Exista totusi o sansa. Si cum ai zis si tu, se numeste Euro 2020. Din pacate, mai avem destul de mult timp de asteptat pana atunci, insa va fi imperios necesar ca la momentul disputarii acelui turneu final cel putin 1-2 baze sportive din Bucuresti sa se prezinte la un nivel decent si modern.
Este evident ca Armata se va opune vehement oricarei initiative, dar noroc ca la randul lor au si ei sefi, reprezentati de Guvern, care s-au angajat "sa puna umarul" la organizarea acestui mini-turneu final (cele patru meciuri).
Avem un precedent in Polonia, prin "Pepsi Arena" sau "Polish Army Stadium" cum mai este cunoscut stadionul Legiei. Apartinand initial Armatei, a fost cedat in 2002 municipalitatii din Varsovia. De altfel, consider ca singura entitate de stat capabila (si admisa) in ziua de azi, sa investeasca si sa detina cu titlul de proprietate infrastructura sportiva sunt autoritatile locale. Cu ocazia asta putem vedea si care este discrepanta dintre noi si polonezi, caci vom face la un moment dat ceea ce au facut ei (in 2002), dar la o distanta de 12-15 ani.
Vechiul stadion al Legiei : 
"The complicated legal status of the land, which belonged to the military, effectively discouraged potential investors. The new hope came together with the new owners - Daewoo company, which bought the majority stake in Legia in the late 1996. The Korean club owners strongly lobbied the City of Warsaw to take over the property and invests in the new facility, however, the then owners of the site - the Military Property Agency - was not willing to sell the property. The deadlock existed for the next 5 years, during which time the Koreans sold the club. Eventually, the sale went through on July 29, 2002, when the City of Warsaw acquired the title to the land. Although the market value was estimated at 60 million PLN, the purchase price was agreed at 16 million PLN. In October 2004, Warsaw's chief architect Michał Borowski gave permission to build a new stadium on the said land. Noul stadion : 
In vederea Euro 2012, la Varsovia a fost (re)construit stadionul national, "Polish Army Stadium" neintrand in circuitul turneului final. Insa, cu siguranta baza Legiei a fost una frecvent utilizata de echipele de la acel turneu final.
Pe de alta parte, sa nu uitam ca sprijinul municipalitatii a fost acordat (sume consistente pentru ridicarea unui stadion maricel) si prin prisma faptului ca Legia are o cota uriasa de popularitate in Varsovia, cealalta echipa din oras "Polonia", fiind o echipa minora, un fel de rapid.
In Bucuresti, lucrurile nu stau deloc asa, dar in definitiv cum ai spus si tu, nu avem musai nevoie de un stadion de 33.000 de locuri. "Redesenarea" stadionului "Steaua" ar fi arhisuficienta.
